Description

Johnny Thunders was the hard-living rock’n’roll guitarist who inspired punk, glam metal and the scene in general. This film documents his career from the beginnings to his tragic death in 1991.

The film examines his life as a founding member of the New York Dolls, the punk scene with THE HEARTBREAKERS in New York City and London and later incarnations such as GANG WAR and THE ODDBALLS.

It features interviews with Sylvain Sylvain, Lenny Kaye, Walter Lure, his late managers Leee Black Childers, Marty Thau and Malcolm McLaren plus countless others who knew him; 40 songs including Born To Lose and You Can’t Put Your Arms Around A Memory; and rare and historic footage from all periods. Includes 4-page insert with notes by Nina Antonia.
